Yael Stone, who was born in Australia and a resident of New York City in 2013 was the character Lorna Mello as a prisoner on Orange Is the New Black. Yael graduated from NIDA. Yael, despite her young age, has been given the opportunity to learn from Australia's most renowned storytellers. Yael has a successful career with a thriving career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael's new life in New York City began when her show was critically-acclaimed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Yael is co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery is located within Bushwick Brooklyn and operates from there to support creative writing, innovative ideas and new work.
